Natural Box Elder Bowl by Tom Larson #1-58

Tom Larson

This is truly a remarkable piece. Made from a Box Elder burl with blond wood with vibrant red running throughout. Tom brought out the incredible natural beauty of this piece by exposing the knot holes, bark, and inclusions. In his hands, the "flaws" become flawless.

This piece would make an excellent fruit bowl or one-of-a-kind show piece. Pictures do not do it justice.

Measures roughly 4.5" h x 10" d.

Given 3 coats of polyurethane and sanded smooth

Signed and dated on the bottom, with indication of type of wood.

Made in Minnesota by Tom Larson. Tom has been creating functional and decorative pieces on the lathe for over 20 years. His pieces celebrate the natural beauty of the wood and present a flawless quality of workmanship. Tom's personal and artistic goal is to create each piece as if it were his only one.
