stitched stone fiber art object - under leaf by Lisa Jordan #79-105
A small subdued blue-green stone is home for fern leaves and saffron-colored stone beads cocooned in stitches. Approx. 1.25" x 1.5".
These fiber art objects, real stones encapsulated in wool by the wet-felting method, is home for thoughtful stitches. Each, a meditation of sorts, represents the colors, textures, and patterns of the oft-overlooked details in nature. The heft of the stone coupled with the texture of the wool makes this an art object that begs to be held.
Lisa Jordan is an artist working primarily in hand-dyed wool. She creates both wet and needle-felted pieces inspired by nature, occasionally incorporating wood and other mediums into her pieces.
